IT seems that some of our banks still consider it appropriate to be paid for their failures. Meanwhile, the reluctant but blameless judges will be targeted in a referendum with the presidential vote.
The politicians who perpetrated this crisis with their mismanagement have been rather quietly rolling in their retirement payments and perks out of view of the public. I suggest that the referendum on judges' pay be supplemented to remove all pensions and privileges earned by the Fianna Fail hacks that sold our country to the highest bidder in the Galway tent in the years from 2001 until 2010.
After all, our Constitution says we, the people of Ireland, are the final deciders of all issues. Let's decide.
