Leaving Cert betrays pupils
I COULDN'T agree more with your education correspondent John Walshe ('Time for talking is over: the points system needs reform', Irish Independent, August 18).
I took the Leaving Cert back in 1995. My results were not great as I spent more time playing sports than studying.
At the time, you were led to believe that without a good points score you could not go any further in life, which was ridiculous.
