Ronan Walsh is spot on when he writes to remind Enda Kenny that the voters want Richard Bruton as our next Finance Minister.
I'm sure Mr Kenny is all too aware of the results of that poll. I hope he is not going to follow in the footsteps of our present masters and ignore the will of the people.
It's a win-win situation, really. Mr Kenny can show he is man enough to put the attempted coup behind him for the sake of the country, and appoint the best financial strategist in the Dail to the Finance Ministry.
Mr Bruton can put the attempted coup behind him also and accept the leadership of Mr Kenny in the next Dail and the post of Minister for Finance, because being the best candidate for the post, he is duty-bound to accept it for the sake of our country.
