Leave poor old Reilly alone. Virtually nobody outside the pharmaceutical industry has had any confidence in any health minister for the last 50 years.
Not one of them has ever spent more than 1pc -- ONE PER CENT -- of their gigantic budgets on health.
Everything goes on pills, operations and unnecessary screening that enables them to push more pills and ops and so on, in a vicious circle.
We could easily make everybody more healthy and save about a third of the illness budget but that would upset vested interests.
