Israelis did much to help Haiti
THE United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, has described the situation in Haiti as "one of the worst humanitarian crises in decades". Fred Johnston (Letters, February 8) is upset that my "blizzard" of only two letters "drowns out" his agenda of using this horrendous humanitarian crisis in Haiti as a platform for attacking Israel.
Raymond Deane preaches his tiresome paranoia against Israel and callously suggests that the Israelis packed up after a photo opportunity.
The facts are that the Israelis set up the best hospital provided by any international medical team.
