• Two stories appeared in the Irish Independent last week, showing the significant difference in how people are treated in good old Ireland in 2012. One story told of the eviction of Mr Kelly, a vast property owner, probably through years of hard work -- and the rough manhandling of this gentleman, regardless of what he owns or owes, was disgusting.

The other story was that of the former chief executive, Sean FitzPatrick, of the previously named Anglo Irish Bank -- the same bank issuing the eviction notice on Mr Kelly -- smiling at a recent event at the exclusive K Club. No evidence of manhandling there. It seems one property owner is treated with kid-gloves while another is treated with disdain.
