Irish jobs should go to our own
AS a recent graduate, I have been unsuccessful in obtaining full-time employment. Along with most other Irish people, I have no great expectations when it comes to what job I do -- as long as it's a job.
On a recent flight to London Gatwick with Aer Lingus, I was amazed to find that all the cabin crew were Eastern Europeans.
Aer Lingus is supposed to be our national carrier, so imagine my astonishment when one of the cabin crew attempted to make in-flight announcements through Irish.
