Insult calls for a public apology

Madam -- It is my belief that Phil Hogan is aiming at being a 'celeb' and getting his snout in the papers a lot.

It sounded crude to say a degrading remark like that to Anne O'Connell as reported in the Sunday Independent, or any woman for that matter. I know women who would "screw" his head to the wall for less guff.

The insult was in public. The apology should be in public.
