Inquiries needed

•The Retired Attorneys General (RAGs) managed to help torpedo the referendum with a well-aimed short letter three days before the vote.

Now I do not know what the collective noun for them is, but surely those RAGs will put their collective distilled wisdom into drafting a new bill or law that will allow proper inquiries into serious matters here such as exists in other parliaments. Rupert Murdoch must regret not living in Ireland.

Many of them have experience of commercial and political life in this country, and I am certain they will want to get answers to banking and other matters that went belly-up here, and not allow a situation where household names in the banking world will not only refuse to answer questions but also refuse to appear.
