HSE overlords should be sacked

Sir -- I refer to my letter re HSE published recently in the Sunday Independent. I stated that arrogance, ignorance and crass stupidity would best describe the characteristics of "child care" workers. I have just watched the Prime Time special on care for the elderly, provided indirectly by HSE. Again I am not surprised. I am angry and appalled by what I have seen.

The HSE is well past its sell-by date. How many children and adults must suffer unnecessarily by the incompetence of HSE officials? The pathetic answers by Noel Mulvihill, HSE, and Aine Brady, TD, indicate clearly that they should resign or be sacked with immediate effect. Aine Brady sees no need for regulation -- the mind boggles. How many corpses does she need? I trust Age Action and others will demand resignations and, if necessary, sackings. As I have stated before, it also requires decent employees in the HSE to stand up and expose incompetence, arrogance and crass stupidity.
