Greens must turn over new leaf
IT is that time of year again, when we spend a lot of it gathering fallen leaves. It's a job that has to be done and takes an enormous amount of hard work by the people who live on roads surrounded by trees.
I see people daily filling refuse sacks with the continuous falls. It would be much fairer on these good citizens to provide a recycling facility free of charge during the months of October and November for green waste.
It's a bit rich to expect people to tidy their estates and then bring their green waste to a recycling depot and have to pay for the privilege. The Green Party might gain some respect if they could see their way to providing same; and who knows, they could turn over a new leaf.
