Fred Molloy calls Dublin GAA footballers a "magnificent team" and complains that they get a bad press (Irish Independent, Letters, July 18).

Why should they not be magnificent given their access to nearly limitless resources due to the fact that they come from an area that has well over a million in population?

Is it fair that in an amateur game they are competing with teams that have populations that miniscule compared to theirs?
