• Fr Butler lived all alone in a rural Irish parish. It was time to plant his annual cabbage plot. The ground was very hard this year, making it impossible for Fr Butler, as time was catching up with the old priest. His parishioner, Mick The Stroke, always did the digging for the kind priest. However, Mick for the umpteenth time was busy digging the prison garden, as he repaid his debt to society for another wayward stroke.
Fr Butler was fond of the old rogue and wrote him a letter describing his predicament. "Dear Mick, looks like no cabbages this year without your help. Old age catching up with me. God bless, Fr Butler."
A few days later, he received a reply from Mick. "Dear Father, Whatever you do don't try to dig up the garden. That's where I hid the bodies. Remember me in your prayers. Mick."
