Galvin should be on All Star list

I am stunned and at the same time disappointed that the brilliant general of Limerick football, mid-fielder John Galvin, has not been selected on this year's All Star Gaelic Football team.

Considering the continuously high performance levels that the man has shown over the course of the year, and in some seriously bruising encounters against the powerhouses of Kerry and Cork, it is astonishing to not see him there with one of the coveted mid-field prizes.

Both recipients of the awards for mid-field this year are decent footballers in their own right, who have had great years with their respective county sides, but neither would hold a candle to the display levels that Galvin has shown us throughout 2010.
