Further inquiry must be balanced

Sir -- I note there are many calls by interested parties, including Gerry Adams, for a further, more widespread, inquiry into the deaths of innocent civilians during the years of the Troubles in Northern Ireland.

So why not start by interviewing the relatives of the 713 innocent civilians and the 508 security personnel in Northern Ireland who were killed by republicans in the course of the Troubles.

It is also worth noting that any investigation would realise the fact that the Provisional IRA killed more Catholics than the UDA did.
