• The British prime minister must be commended on his stance in relation to the EU. He believes Britain, which is outside the eurozone, experiences "too much" Europe -- too much cost, too much bureaucracy and too much meddling in issues that belong to nation states or civil society overall.
David Cameron's observation may be an understatement. Some laws passed by the EU make no sense whatsoever. And Irish politicians rarely contest any regulation put forward by Brussels.
