Dock the pay of public servants

I KNOW that ''public servants not answering telephones'' (Irish Independent, February 27) is just the tip of the iceberg regarding their failure to do the work they are paid for.

In any organisation in which I have worked, answering the telephone is a truly basic function and duty of care.

And we are also told that not one hour's pay has yet to be docked from those refusing to do their work.
