Decorum and reserve essential in President

David Norris, if elected, will have to accept that the Office of the President is a neutral, apolitical one.

President Mary McAleese caused difficulty by calling unionists 'Nazis' during one of her terms, which required a lot of repair work by the government at a critical negotiating time in the North.

All presidential hopefuls, whether conservative or liberal, should show the decorum, composure and reserve that will be required by the job.
