Country's assets will all be sold off by 2016

What part of the word 'strategic ' does Colm McCarthy or this new Government not understand? It took until 1938 for the Chamberlain-led British government to relinquish Ireland's sea ports to De Valera. Churchill went apoplectic over what he considered to be the handing over of these "key strategic reservations".

We used to have a national communications network -- not any more. We used to own the Bantry Bay Oil Refinery -- not any more.

And now, as part of our bailing out of a terminally ill European banking system, we are being ordered to flog off what's left of our national assets.

How much of Ireland will we still own by the time the 2016 centenary comes around?
