Costly service from Ryanair

Madam -- I read, with interest, a letter to your paper (Sunday Independent, April 29, 2012) stating that Ryanair charged one of your readers €20 for a no-show letter/email, having cancelled his flight due to illness. I also required a no-show letter/email, from Aer Lingus, for my insurance company as I had to cancel a flight due to a bereavement. However, Aer Lingus did not impose a charge for this service.
