KEVIN Myers is absolutely right regarding the slow but relentless tsunami of obesity. Childhood obesity should be regarded as a form of neglect against which action can be taken.
The situation of schools not letting pupils run in the yard for fear of litigation should be addressed urgently.
Our country's future depends on an energetic and vibrant youth, capable of dragging our economy forward. God knows, the next generations are encumbered enough as it is without us standing by as their health and vitality are poisoned by an imported toxic food culture.
