Capitalism can solve our woes
In a time of economic crisis, capitalism comes under attack. All sorts of alternatives are proposed, including socialism, which has produced misery, corruption, and tyranny, everywhere it has been tried.
The criticism of capitalism is misplaced. What has gone wrong, especially in Ireland, is that the rules of capitalism have not been followed.
Capitalism -- unlike socialism, which is imposed from the top -- comes naturally to people, because it comes out of trade, which is one of the oldest activities known to man.
