Campaign for work now vital

In spite of pouring rain (for the second week in a row), and an intimidating reportage in the weekend's papers, the Right to Work Campaign is delighted that far more people turned up this week outside the Dail than attended last week's protest.

The reports in some newspapers that gardai were "training for petrol bombs" and would come equipped with riot gear because of the "threat of violence" are now revealed to be completely off the mark.

With 750 jobs to go in Pfizer and with the eviction of the Moore family in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, last Friday, returning the focus to the core demands of this campaign in relation to jobs creation, no repossessions and so on is vital.
