Burton's TV antics no help to Labour

The disgraceful antics of Joan Burton on 'Tonight with Vincent Browne' (January 24) have demonstrated once again the appalling state in which Irish politics finds itself.

If children were to behave in the way Deputy Burton did, they would be scolded. Yet here was a likely member of the next Government interrupting, talking over and patronising a fellow elected representative on national television.

To think that this person could represent the country in the international financial arena is embarrassing.

As if our country hasn't had enough damage done to its reputation.

Of the main political parties, I had been leaning towards the Labour Party. However, Ms Burton's despicable behaviour has ensured that the Labour candidates in my constituency will not be getting my vote either.
