Burke's silly argument should not hurt Norris

Put aside the timing of the resurrected Burke/Norris controversy, the mysterious affair of the missing tape in the attic, and the issues of selective tape-recording, quotation, and memory.

To cast David Norris, himself a victim of human rights abuse on the part of the State, as anything other than a potential advocate for sexual abuse victims is simply wrong.

In a restaurant review by Helen Lucy Burke, I recall her inventively using the sexual behaviour of wild rams as an argument against vegetarianism.

It will take more than her penchant for garbled non sequiturs to undermine my support for Mr Norris in his presidential campaign.
