• About the only fault I can find with Eddie Cunningham's Motoring supplement every Wednesday, is that it isn't long enough!
He touched on a couple of topics in yesterday's paper, on which I feel I may be able to elaborate on.
The first concerns being blinded by undipped headlights of an oncoming vehicle.
A good tip, which I learnt some years ago, is to close one eye when being confronted by such inconsideration, and to "swap" eyes when the potential hazard has passed. Nighttime vision of the closed eye will not have been affected by the glare.
The other topic concerns the theft of cars by overriding their electronics.
In my opinion, nothing can beat a good old-fashioned lock and chain around the steering wheel!
