Blair has no moral authority on Egypt

TONY Blair's pontificating about President Hosni Mubarak as a "force for good" is to be treated with the contempt it deserves.

Mr Blair has no moral authority whatsoever on this internal matter for the citizens of Egypt.

Blair is regarded as a war criminal by many in his own country, and by many throughout the rest of the world.

The incomprehensible decision to appoint him as a Middle East envoy is akin to making Margaret Thatcher ambassador to the Falklands.
