Bank charity tax is for the birds
Calls from Trocaire director Justin Kilcullen for the Government to apply a tax on banks for currency transactions to fund world debt (Irish Independent, September 18) show how far that organisation is out of touch with the state of Irish financial institutions and business in general.
Has Mr Kilcullen researched his proposal? It would appear not.
Unless you have spent the last few years off the planet, the state of our financial institutions is more than obvious.
