• I agree with Eileen Malone (Letters, December 27). We are not in the 1980s and condoms and morning-after pills are available.
But some want us back in the 1950s, with priests beatin' the bushes for courting couples and comely maidens dancing at the crossroads – so long as it is a 'fast' dance – and no contraceptives on a slow train from Northern Ireland.
