At least Harney is in a healthy state

ASIDE from the latest fiasco at Tallaght Hospital there are other indications that Mary Harney may have lost completely any sense of judgment, particularly if her choice of destination for St Patrick's Day is anything to go by.

A quick peek at the New Zealand Health Department website reveals: " . . . we lead and support the sector to achieve better health for New Zealanders, including reduced inequalities, better participation and independence, trust and security. The Minister of Health has overall responsibility for the health and disability system."

This kind of stuff must surely be akin to a wooden stake being driven through our minister's heart, given that it is utterly contrary to her own attitude to responsibility for health care.
