Absent civil servants and the Quinn fiasco

WELL done, Kevin Myers on exposing "two women employees of the State who did little visible work . . . yet such is the public service culture." (Irish Independent, April 26).

Perhaps, in the interest of a balanced debate, he could focus his next article on the work practices of some of the men in the private sector.

Indeed, an explanation of why we as a nation will have to foot the bill for the "€620m Quinn loss", as reported on Tuesday's front page, would be a helpful starting point.
