A touching act of human honesty

Sometimes good things happen that surprise you and bring a spring into your step, embraced by a feeling that many people are still caring in this hard world.

During a visit to Dublin last week I left my mobile phone in a taxi. "A mobile," one might think, "they go missing all the time and are easily replaced, so get over it!"

Well, not that one because it carried photos I had taken of my dear father during the last days before his death.

Why am I feeling so good today? Because my mobile was returned to me in the post by an unknown person who found it in the Dublin taxi.

This act of honesty and generosity has touched me deeply, so if the person who carried out this kind act reads this, I thank you with joy and happiness in my heart.
