A shot at the Aras

•Martin McGuinness has become the second Sinn Fein MP/MLA to resign (or "step aside" as they put it) from elected office in Northern Ireland in order to stand for election in the Republic. This practice shows a certain contempt for the people who elected them to office in the North.

What guarantee is there that, if elected as president, Mr McGuinness will not "step aside" when he sees another election opportunity somewhere else?
