A kick in the austerity is a sore thing

•Weird are the ways of the world. One thinks of the 26,000 children who die every day in the developing world while the West sits on its well-padded posterior. Earthquakes, famine and war wreak havoc daily on humanity and the global response is totally passive.

Yet the slightest threat to the markets and alarm bells go off.

A financial ark is built and they march in the bankers two by two, leaving the women and children to the deluge. So cut the children's allowance; just be sure to leave the boys who led the rain dance, and are now on the mega-buck pensions, with most of their loot.
