A bad dose
• Recently, a retired hospital consultant, bemoaning the current state of affairs in our hospitals, was overheard to say that patients in hospitals in the 70s and 80s were quite happy just to be discharged from hospital as opposed to today when they also want to be cured. Maybe we have set our sights too high!
