Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Hildegarde Naughton T.D., performed the official opening of the new R150 Tara Road - Bóthar na Teamhrach, which links Laytown and Bettystown. The official opening took place in the presence of Cllr Sean Drew, Cathaoirleach of Meath County Council and Cllr Elaine McGinty, Cathaoirleach of the Laytown-Bettystown Municipal District.
Droichead Arts Centre is delighted to announce Olga Duka as their ‘First Solo’ recipient for 2021. The First Solo Award offers support and funding at a key point in the careers of professional visual artists in the North East region who have yet to present a solo show. Previous recipients include Eimear Murphy, with her exhibition Shape, Heap; thing in 2018, and Sean McGuill, with The Great Filter in 2019.

A VINTAGE run is being organised by the friends and family of local man Mark Hoey who died suddenly at his home of a brain haemorrhage on 10th February 2020 at the age of just 21. His love in life was farm machinery and he drove tractors from when he left school.
