TDs shouldn't head the pay restoration queue

Politicians in Ireland often get a hard time, but sometimes they really don't help themselves.

This week pay restoration kicks in for thousands of civil servants, including our TDs who can look forward to an extra €2,707 over the next year.

It comes at a time when bus drivers are on the picket lines and as disquiet rages among frontline staff such as nurses and teachers about their terms and conditions.
