Stack murder hasn't gone away, Mr Adams

Almost a quarter of a century after the callous murder of prison officer Brian Stack by the Provisional IRA, the investigation into his killing has received renewed impetus.

The revelation of a meeting involving a senior IRA figure with direct knowledge of the perpetrator has given a solid lead, which gardaí must actively pursue.

In addition, Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams told the Garda Commissioner Nóirín O'Sullivan of four associates of his having information in relation to the murder.
