Some good news from the farm

More than 200,000 people are expected to visit the National Ploughing Championships this week.

The record turnout is a demonstration that, whatever the problems being experienced elsewhere in the economy, the agriculture and food sectors are in rude good health.

On opening day yesterday 71,000 people made the trip to Athy -- a 5,000 increase on last year.
