Regeneration needs a re-think

Five years after the launch of the Limerick regeneration projects, €116m has been spent on demolition of homes and relocation of families.

Yet many families are living in worse conditions and the entire enterprise has evidently stalled, to the frustration of the regeneration board's chief executive Brendan Kenny and chairman John Fitzgerald.

What has gone wrong?
