SCHOOL days, the happiest of their lives? Not for the thousands of boys and girls subjected to various kinds of bullying, often serious and often with lasting effects, in Irish primary and post-primary schools, sometimes every unhappy day.
In 2004-05, Dr Stephen James Minton of the TCD School of Education carried out an authoritative study of the subject.
Oddly, it has been published only now, five years after it was conducted. Its findings are devastating.
