More good news – and we’re not just talking about the weather
IT'S been a pretty good few days, all things considered. We're in the middle of a week-long heatwave, the Lions won on Saturday, depending on what county you are from it was a great weekend in GAA, and now two surveys have confirmed that optimism in the economy is growing.
A survey from small firms group ISME shows growing business confidence across a range of metrics, while a new report from the accountants and consultants PwC indicates company chief executives in Ireland are more confident about their business than at any time since 2007.
The ISME trends survey for small businesses points to a sector in its best health in more than a year. That's not a particularly high bar, but with optimism particularly strong among exporters, it is to be welcomed.
