Insurance firms need legislative support
Compo culture has been a fixture on the insurance map for decades. The insurance industry frequently runs campaigns asking members of the public to come forward with information about somebody faking an injury.
And there are plenty of examples of court cases where claimants were thrown out after evidence emerged of them suddenly being able to lift large objects or go running without any sign of the pain that had purportedly changed their lives.
Of course, this all makes it more difficult for the actual legitimate claims to be believed and processed.
