Housing policies pose questions for Murphy
It hasn't gone away, you know, Minister Murphy. By dumping out the latest homelessness figures on the Friday of a Bank Holiday Weekend, Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy may have thought the latest affirmation of the crisis would go under the radar.
To ensure that doesn't happen, let's just repeat them here: almost 8,000 people across the country were registered as homeless in June, including 2,895 children.
The statistics from the Department of Housing show the number of adults without a home actually grew from 4,922 in May to 5,036 in June.
