The 'top-ups' controversy shows no signs of abating and why should it?

Last night the Independent TD for south Dublin, Shane Ross called on the board of the Central Remedial Clinic (CRC) to resign, after the disability organisation admitted that it had access to substantial funds from a charitable affiliate at a time when it was cutting frontline services "for children and adults with physical disabilities".

It also revealed that a former chief executive was paid an allowance/top up of €135,000 on top of his €110,000 salary.
