Tomorrow, the country's largest nursing union, the INMO, will meet to consider what action to take on foot of the collapse of talks with the HSE in the dispute over staffing, recruitment and retention.

The leadership of the Irish Nurses and Midwives' Organisation has a mandate from its members to take whatever industrial action it deems necessary,

The talks between the HSE management and the union have adjourned this evening without agreement.
