That’s it. The human race has jumped the shark.

They say American Indians thought photographs would steal their souls, and we laughed at this quaint notion. But that was before the ‘selfie’ came along.

The Oxford English Dictionary word of the year for 2013 is ‘selfie’. The word, like many others ending in ‘ie’, (barbie, bikie, tinnie) has its origins in Australia, where they found the first recorded usage of it on an internet forum in 2003.
