Unlike the French, the Irish are not about to take pension battles to the streets – but beware the aged militants

France is literally burning as the country has ground to a standstill in a fierce row over the pension qualification age. In Ireland, the Government is trying to quietly ignore something which in principle is very similar and which just won’t go away.
