“It’s not about housing – it’s about access. There’s a huge wealth of housing that needs to be tapped.”

Thirty years ago, my cousin and his friend took the train to Dublin to look for digs while he was studying agricultural science at UCD. Chatting with a lady on the train, she said she had two spare rooms in her home. Maybe they would like to move in with her? An agreement was reached before they arrived in Heuston Station, and it lasted four years.
