I roll my eyes when I hear people say that 'every woman has been dreaming of her wedding since she was a little girl'. It's as inaccurate as the assertion that 'every woman wants to feel like a princess as she walks up the aisle'. That's never been the case for me. I didn't have a dream venue and a colour scheme and a first-dance song picked out. Nor did I have a secret folder of screenshotted gowns on my phone. I had never pictured myself as a bride - but now I am turning into a bridezilla. And it's the Government's fault.
